Ramie Stitching

I sewed coasters with hand-spun indigo cotton cloth and stitched with ramie fiber.
One of the cloth is made in Laos, the other is made in Japan over 100 years ago.
Softness and Strength of the hand-spun fabric match to the unevenness of hand-split ramie fiber.
And so do the deepness of natural indigo color to the lustrous color of ramie fiber.

Stitching time is one of my favourite time which makes me calm.
